Salmon, Sweet Potato, Carrot & Potato Puree [6-7m+]


This puree is also suitable for babies 6m+ without salmon. While the rest of the family had salmon pasta, my baby also received his portion of salmon. 🙂

Salmon is an excellent source of high-quality protein, vitamins and minerals (including potassium, selenium and vitamin B12) but it is their content of omega-3 fatty acids that receives the most attention.They are contribute to healthy brain function, the heart, joints and general wellbeing. Omega-3 is termed as an essential fatty acid because the body cannot synthesise it itself and must be obtained from the diet.

I could hardly taste the salmon and I don’t think my baby did either. 🙂

Served 3 portions at 100ml / 3.5 oz


  • 50gr boneless salmon steak (wash & slice)
  • 1/2 sweet potato (peel & cut)
  • 1 large carrot (peel & cut )
  • 1 small potato (peel & cut)
  • 100ml breast milk / steamed liquid / pre-boiled water (add more if required)


  1. Steam sweet potato, carrot and potato together for 15 mins in a baby cook or steamer.
  2. Add a small knob of butter in a non stick frying pan and turn down the heat once hot. Lightly sauté the salmon until cooked.
  3. Add salmon and preferred liquid to the other ingredients and blend to the desired consistency.
  4. Do not freeze if you have used thawn breast milk.
